Robyn’s “For Sure’s”

What I Know For Sure . . . The Foundation Upon Which I Stand (especially when my world is shaking)

  1. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. We are always connected to our divine source.  “You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience. “Teilhard de Chardin
  2. “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” Wayne Dyer.   We can choose either to be a victim of the world or an adventurer in search of treasure. It’s all a question of how we view our life. We can choose to look for the blessings and awakenings.  “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.” Anais Nin
  3. Love is the most powerful energy in the universe, and we come from it, are made of it, and return to it.  We came here to learn how powerful love is.  “Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire. ” Teilhard de Chardin
  4. Where attention goes, energy flows. What you focus on expands.  Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. “Pay attention to the beauty all around you.  Don’t miss it being sad and wishing things were different.”  Resh Michael
  5. “We are one-hundred-percent responsible for our experience.  Event + Response = Outcome.” Jack Canfield.  We can choose our thoughts and thus choose our response which creates our outcome.  No one can choose our thoughts for us.
  6. Our thoughts and words become our experience.  Everything is created twice—first as a thought and then as a thing.  Thoughts and words lead to feelings, which lead to action, which brings us our results or outcomes, which then reinforce our thoughts and our words, and the loop is formed.
  7. The sacred soil of sorrow is rich with nutrients to grow our souls.  We can use it to bury ourselves in the grief, or allow the cracking open of our heart to lift us toward the light.
  8. Conscious grieving is a path to peace and transformation. We can approach our grief with our eyes and heart wide open to the full experience, feeling our feelings, observing our thoughts, paying attention to our inner world, and making choices that take us through the grief.  There is an upward spiral of transformation and healing that welcomes us.
  9. A broken-open heart increases our capacity to love fully and authentically. No more pretending, masking, protecting, and accommodating.  When we protect ourselves so we won’t feel pain, that protection becomes like armor that imprisons the softness of the heart. “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. Your success and happiness lie within you.” Helen Keller
  10. We can trust and surrender to the Divine within us.  We live in a universe governed by immutable laws that work in our favor.   “We must be prepared to have patience in difficult times and to know the Universe is conspiring in our favor, even though we may not understand how.“ Paulo Cuelo.
  11. Love never dies, and neither does consciousness. We just need to change our receivers to a higher vibration.  Death is an illusion. Einstein proved that all the energy of the universe is constant and that it can neither be created nor destroyed, it just changes form.
  12. Consciousness and awareness don’t begin and end with our physical body. They are non-local and immortal.  “Our mind is not confined to our brain or body, as we’ve been taught, but it extends infinitely outside of them.  Our minds have no boundaries or limits.” Larry Dossey, MD
